PARIS AERIE - RIVE GAUCHE

A cute little apartment apartment in Paris on the Left Bank...on a high floor overlooking a secret courtyard.  That's all I know besides the price.  $2.25 million for this pied-a-terre.  So cute.  Light herringbone wood floors, exposed beam ceilings (notice the metal beams in the bedroom)...a living room, a bedroom, kitchen, bath...c'est tout. A small Paris apartment.  Very chic. That is all...but that is all I would need.

Today's dream or wish...wish I could buy this little place for my mom and then I would visit regularly!

P.S.  A big thank you to Hilde Leighat of Pom Pom at Home.  Had dinner with Hilde the other night.  A really nice dinner at Mozza here in Los Angeles.  Just a day after our fun dinner, some of her fantastic linen sheeting was delivered to the COCOCOZY offices for me to enjoy.  Wow!  So amazing.  The sheets are just gorgeous!  Thank you Hilde!  Hi to Sam and Reza for me!

P.P.S.  Tonight am going with TE to his holiday office party.  We are staying at hotel downtown after the event.  I couldn't exactly decide what to wear so I brought a million outfits.  Poor TE...he's going to have to help me decide!

WEEKEND PHOTO!

Cute living room. This one is in an old train depot converted into an apartment in Hamburg, Germany. Nice sleek open floor plan where you can see through from the living room to the dining room right into the kitchen.

A chrome arched Arco floor lamp looms over a modern living space.  Camel colored most likely vintage leather and chrome chairs and a pink Ligne Roset sofa.  Love the pale aqua painted backsplash in the kitchen in the distance.

Note to self: must find train station to convert into a cute modern living space.  Design on track! :-)

BROOKLYN BOUND - A 1200 SQUARE FOOT DUMBO LOFT GETS A $100,000 UPDATE!

This Brooklyn loft belongs to Anne Maxwell Foster, a co-owner in the interior design firm Tilton Fenwick. It was featured on the New York Times website recently.

Maxwell Foster and her husband bought the 1200 square foot 1 bedroom apartment that is located in Dumbo section of Brooklyn for $885,000 last March and then spent almost 3 months updating the space.

The renovation included adding interior barn doors to, transforming a small office into the master bedroom, tearing out the kitchen counters and replacing with Caesarstone quartz counters and changing out cabinet doors...they even transformed a large walk in closet that had a window into a nursery.

After the bones of the space had been renovated...the decorating began.  The designers' goal was to create an inviting atmosphere.

Here's what the updated apartment looks like.

For the living room, they chose a Kravet Medley Sofa ($5,200), the armchairs were $800 for two on eBay (about $800 and the coffee table is a $6000 Oscar de la Renta piece.

Love this NYC loft apartment belonging to New York jewelry designer Zani Gugelmann.  A wonderful mix of old and new in a open space.

P.S.   Fun weekend.  Two dinners.  First dinner on Friday night with BN, SN and TE at Il Piccolino - great company and such a cute old school restaurant.  2nd dinner was on Saturday night with sis DS, TE and good friend JD at the Soho House.  We had a great time.

P.P.S.  Yesterday TE and I were having a late brunch in Venice...and in walks actor Adam Sandler.  I was not at all cool about this celebrity sighting because I was so surprised to see him.  There were only two tables of people in this small restaurant and we were sitting the near the door...so when Adam walked in, I inadvertently yelped and grabbed TE's arm.  So much for being cool but casual.

A MULTI LEVEL 425 SQUARE FOOT NEW YORK APARTMENT!

This is what 425 square feet in New York looks like. Three levels of apartment living neatly designed into a small foot print.  When the homeowner bought the unit on the Upper West Side back in 1994 it was more like a studio with roof access.  Today, thanks to some clever architect work, a small space is given new life and more square footage by simply adding different platforms within the 12 foot ceilings.

Simple, clean lines, neutral tones with a pop of turquoise.  I like.

LOFT LIVING: INDUSTRIAL RUSTIC CHIC!

I like this Hollywood loft owned by art director Daniel Lowe. Masculine, industrial, rustic chic I think. So cute for a guy's place...or a girl's. Open concept, living room, dining room and kitchen combo. Good light and some exposed brick. Who could ask for more?

Love the geometric trellis fretwork gray wallpaper on the fireplace in the living room, adore the nautical pendant lights over the kitchen island, and there is something very stylish about a tufted leather couch. Lots of detail coming together to make a nice space.

P.S. Had a fun weekend with TE. We went to a Saturday night movie, dinner at Silverlake Mexican restaurant Malo, walked on Runyon Canyon on Sunday and then somehow ended up at sports place watching the San Francisco 49ers game. Best part of it all was when TE came over for the movie, he had gifts in hand. I was immediately convinced and assumed they were all presents/gifts for me...I was wrong. He did bring "hostess treats" of sorts to my tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills - a bottle of Veuve Clicquot for me and something for my cute mischievous dog Mr. Boo, some organic dog treats. A very cute holiday offering I think. Mr. Boo, the dog, seems to like TE more than he likes me these days.  Hmm...I will have to bring some organic treats home tonight and see if that helps sway the pooch my way!

PILLARS HERE, PILLARS THERE, PILLARS EVERYWHERE - HOW CEMENT COLUMNS WORK IN A NYC APARTMENT!

I really like this NYC apartment...kind of an industrial loft space overlooking the Hudson River. This apartment is in a Richard Meier designed building in the city...the space is open, bright with floor to ceiling windows, and loaded with structural cement pillars.

The cement pillars might throw some off if they had to design this space...but I like the way the grey pillars blend right in and help give a little character to the space by setting a modern urban tone.

The pillars are what they are and they work in my humble opinion.

P.S. Good news...my store website will be up and running very soon (I hope)...the Nbaynadamas collection will be available here online. Meanwhile, I am sooooo busy as I put the finishing touches on all for the debut of the Nbaynadamas Spring/Summer 2011 home furnishings collection at the NYIGF! Can someone age 10 years in 3 weeks due to stress? I think I know the answer unfortunately. Will need to add extra sparkle to wardrobe to distract people from the bags under my eyes! LOL! Off to buy an iPad.
