$16.9 MILLION DOLLAR HAMPTONS TRADITIONAL ESTATE - SEE THIS HOUSE

Traditional home Sag Harbor mansion Peconic Bay

$16.9 million dollars for this traditional home in Sag Harbor right on a peninsula in the Peconic Bay.

A two story, 7,500 square foot Hamptons house with 6 bedrooms, 6.5 baths, infinity pool and much more.

The home is listed by Corcoran in the event you have a few million you would like to spend!  Water views included by the way.

So, today's non-dilemma dilemma question is...if you had $16.9 million to spend on a summer house, would you take it or leave it?

Here's a short tour...

So...again...I ask you...would you take it or leave it? Would you take the furniture too and work with it or would you want to start from scratch?

Do tell!

Happy Friday!

P.S. Having a hard time adjusting to being back to reality after 8 amazing days in Hawaii with TE. Here is a picture of a rainbow that showed up outside our window at the St. Regis hotel in Princeville on our last morning in Kauai. Ahhh...pictures do not do it justice. It was a stunning double rainbow at that!!  I've never seen a double rainbow before!  Apparently this particular rainbow was so awesome that all of the hotel employees left their posts to take pictures too...the bellman told us there was a few minutes downstairs where no one was at the hotel's front desk because they ran to take pictures...he said that never happens!  Feel lucky to have spent a fantastic week with TE on my first visit to Hawaii and then to get a double rainbow at the end!  Who could ask for more?

WHERE LESS IS MORE - POOL PERFECT

Oh...designing a long weekend.  Let's see...my ideal weekend would include a little travel, a pool, a water view, good company of friends and family, yummy food, delish drinks, a little pampering (a massage or facial) and enjoying being outside!

I would love to be staying at this Shelter Island home...where my biggest worry would be what to wear by the pool.  A sleek infinity pool, a gray deck and a simple elegant sleek white dining table and signature classic Bertoia metal chairs over looking the water.  A modern outdoor delight I think!

This deck shows you that you don't need much to make a design statement.  Simple modern chic.

Well that is my dream weekend...my real life is a little different.

My long weekend will include none of the above...I'll be happy but my weekend will indeed be so much different than my dream weekend. I will be working quite a bit...catching up on all of the COCOCOZY business stuff that needs to get done over at COCOCOZY Headquarters in Beverly Hills - catching up on work will actually make me feel more relaxed if you can believe it! I know...bizarre.  Hopefully though my long weekend will also include a little rest and relaxation, some exercise (we'll see) and most importantly time with family, friends and TE too.

Happy Friday!

OCEAN VIEW OUTDOOR LIVING ROOM IN THE MDR!

mirrored mirror wall hanging outdoor deck living room plants ocean water view decor decorate
Mirrored wall hangings and an ocean view! (above)

This is TE's lovely ocean view deck...

So to make a short story long...a few weeks ago TE and I started sprucing up his outdoor decks.  He has a gorgeous ocean view in Marina del Rey (the MDR as I call it) - you can see the water view from not just one deck but two!  He is literally about a 1/2 a block from the beach. The sprucing was in preparation for some of his family members and guests coming into town.

I took these photos this morning.  We were up until 1am last night putting up the mirrored wall hangings and then enjoying a glass of wine and some music on the deck.  This morning while taking these photos I looked quite like a clown:  bleary eyed (with some residual mascara or eyeliner around my eyes), a night gown on, a hoodie over it, leggings, Converse sneakers and hair sticking straight up...but I didn't care if any of TE's neighbors saw me...I was doing my own private photo shoot!

Anyhooo...it was gorgeous up there on this ocean view deck this morning...with the sun rising and waves crashing in the distance.

A planter filled with a gorgeous array of cactus and succulents - TE designed this himself (above)

A boxwood plant in a glossy ceramic pot sits on top of a square white garden stool (above)

Two chaise lounges are placed side by side in a nook to create an outdoor bed of sorts! (above)
This project is done...next design project...a little surprise for sis DS at her house and then my house needs to be addressed as far as decor!

To see the before photo of TE's deck...follow me @Nbaynadamas on either COCOCOZY Instagram or COCOCOZY Twitter.  I'll post a few photos in a bit...so follow along so you get the update in your feed.

Happy Friday!

SEE THIS HOUSE: A MYSTERIOUS $43 MILLION DOLLAR NEWPORT BEACH MANSION!

Exterior of french limestone mansion on harbor island in newport beach California with a lawn, backyard, an ocean view and two round sculptures
A $43 million dollar waterfront home on Harbor Island, in Newport Beach. (above)

Don't know much about this property except the price tag. It is a real estate mystery of sorts.  A multi million dollar home listed by Sotheby's International Realty...on tiny Harbor Island in Newport Beach.

I was so curious about the home that I went as far as to call Sotheby's to find out more information. I was told in the friendliest way possible that information would only be shared with people who were "serious" about purchasing the property.  Well I am "serious" to an extent!  Hello?  "Serious" about knowing more.  Would need to come up with just a few million extra dollars in order to really consider buying it.  Hmmm...note to self...find extra millions (43 to be exact) so you can be a "serious" potential buyer and find out more about this home that is listed for sale...

Anyhooo...what I do know is that the house is that it is a new home (I think), the website says it is "re-designed French limestone clad", they also call it "turnkey Neoclassic", in a gated community, with 300 feet of water frontage.  I don't know anything else...but I do wonder how many bedrooms, baths, square footage, or any details really...if someone happens to know, please chime in!

So in today's SEE THIS HOUSE, I bring you a mystery home right in sunny Southern California!  I want to know what you think!

So, would you take it or leave it?  If someone gave you the $43 million to purchase this home (and not buy other stuff with the money)...would you?  Or would you turn up your nose and stay put in your own house?  I would take it.  Would be a bit of commute up to work in Los Angeles and also to COCOCOZY HQ in Beverly Hills. I'd also be over an hour and a half from family and friends...but I would suffer through the traffic (whoa is me) and take this home if it were offered up!  Oh, I would need an extra million to work on the decor...so "someone" would have to give me $44 million to seal the deal!

Please weigh in.  Is this mystery house your cup of tea?

Happy Monday!

P.S.  COCOCOZY New Collection #2 - Okay...besides the bedding collection, I am launching a new collection in a whole other area of home furnishings in 2013.  I am not allowed to talk about that deal yet...but I can say that I saw our first samples over the weekend and am so so thrilled.  TW sent me an email with the photos and it was so exciting to see an idea that we've been working on all year come to fruition.  Also, equally exciting was seeing designs that I dreamed up becoming something other than fabric.  Can't wait to share with you.

P.P.S.  COCOCOZY HQ Chandelier (blurry photo warning) -   Here is a blurry close up of the chandelier that went up in COCOCOZY headquarters on Friday.  It looks so cute in context and a little strange just as a blurry close up taken with my phone. I love this chandelier though.  We ordered it about a month ago, got it last Tuesday and by Friday it was hung.  I am not showing the whole tiny tiny office yet (all 350 square feet of it).  But of course, I am debating...should I share photos here of the entire COCOCOZY headquarters office as a work in progress? Should I?  Or should I wait until the office is completely tricked out and fully decorated?  We are almost there.  The finishing touches will go on in the next couple of weeks.  I am hoping to have a small open house or two in our SMALL SMALL office in December.  I should wait for a big reveal.  Right?  Help. Hard for me to keep any secrets.

P.P.P.S.  Went to a fun party at the Roosevelt Hotel on Saturday night, in a beautiful bungalow off of the pool...I put a picture on COCOCOZY Twitter and COCOCOZY Instagram showing the scene at the pool on a rainy night.  It was fun to hang out with KG.

P.P.P.P.S. So excited for Thanksgiving. Looking forward to seeing family. We're doing it at my mom's house. I am responsible for pies. Was supposed to practice making my homemade pie crust this weekend. I didn't. Uh oh.

P.P.P.P.P.S. Happy Monday!

SEE THIS HOUSE: A MODERN HOME RUN - BASEBALL STAR A-ROD'S $38 MILLION DOLLAR MIAMI HOME!

pool view of a Miami mansion with bar, white sofas under an arch and reclining chairs

Listed for a mere $38 million dollars by Sothebys International, this Miami mansion is being sold by New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez (aka A-Rod).

Apparently A-Rod bought this waterfront home a few years back for $24 million...then had it re-done...and now he is selling the nearly 20,000 square foot estate at a premium.

This amazing modern home has 9 bedrooms, 11 baths, 2 partial baths, two private docks, a home theater and much more.

Here's how this little ol' house is described on the Sotheby's website:

"What Miami dreams are made of. Stunning modern masterpiece with uninterrupted Biscayne Bay and skyline views minutes from South Beach on the island's most coveted residential street. Ultimate privacy guaranteed through gated, walled property line, 16 security cameras and 275 feet of water frontage with two docks. Contemporary, casual design with warm, organic materials including coral rock, white oak floors and Zen gardens make 20,000-plus square feet of over sized rooms feel like an intimate home. South Florida's famous indoor/outdoor lifestyle at its finest with covered terraces, vanishing edge heated pool, outdoor kitchen and rooftop deck. Hurricane-ready with thick impact glass and full-home generator. Standalone gym featuring steam room is fitness fanatic's paradise. Entertain to impress with gourmet kitchen, home theater and surround sound throughout. This is a one of a kind, once in a lifetime residence."

What do you think of this modern Miami mansion?  Do you like or dislike?  Would you take it if someone offered it to you?

I have never considered living in Miami at all...ever...but if someone just happened to gift me this gem, I'd move...in a heartbeat.  Hello Miami!

Happy Monday!

P.S. A side note is that on that t.v. show the X-Factor...they have been using A-Rod's house and calling Simon Cowell's home where he auditions contestants.  It looks great on television!

P.P.S.  Had a fun weekend again...was out every night since Thursday...so I am a little tired.  Last night, I went to dinner at a place in West Hollywood called Laurel Hardware...it is awesome. Also had a nice dinner at Mr. Chow on Friday.  The best and most lovely night of all was on Saturday at Cafe Stella in Silverlake. It was like I was on a restaurant tour of L.A. this weekend!

P.P.P.S. Hope you have a nice week ahead!

SEE THIS HOUSE: THE GOLDEN VIEW THAT $13 MILLION DOLLARS BUYS IN SAN FRANCISCO!

Mansion in San Francisco with large windows, floor length curtains, french doors, a white area rug, a white sofa with matching armchairs, a glass coffee table, dark wood floors and a fireplace with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge

I'm hopefully planning a trip up to San Francisco this fall to visit friend JO.

I haven't been to San Francisco since I went for work (a t.v. show shoot) earlier this year. Then, I went for just 14 hours. I hopped on a plane early one weekday morning with just a camera, a Blackberry (no not an iPhone) and the clothes on my back. I spent the day outdoors watching the shoot unfold - the shoot was really exciting. In between shots, we were walking up and down hills to get from one location to the other. I chose to walk from location to location instead of taking the van...everything was within hilly blocks of each other. (I think I figured out I needed to get in better shape back then when a small elderly woman and her miniature dog zoomed past me on foot just as I trudged up a 90 degree angle hill huffing, puffing and stuttering like an old engine. At one point while I was slowly making my way up one hill, the assistant director yelled, "Action!" through his bullhorn. I jumped.  Then he pointed at me and yelled, "You're in the shot...run." Oy va voy, I almost collapsed trying to run up the hill and then I ended up ducking into a doorway eyes bulged and breathing like I had just run a sprint against that Bolt guy who won at the Olympics). Anyhoooooo, the last time I was in San Francisco, it was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous that day. I think San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the country (Santa Barbara wins for me though as the most beautiful city in the United States - I call SB "heaven on earth").

(Wait...the preceding paragraph is way too long...it is like a bad run on sentence...note to self..."learn to edit")

(Another aside, I just got a new computer this weekend and the apostrophe/quotation mark key seems to stick...it makes a double apostrophe or quotation mark...I've had to erase and retype quotation marks all day. Oy va voy...more in the P.S. about my computer trials and tribulations...not that you care but in case you do)

(Is it grammatically correct to make several parenthetical statements into paragraphs of their own? I'm going to try to use the quotation mark key again to answer that question...""maybe"". See! The key sticks and creates a double quote...I fixed all of the previous quotes so they showed up as only one quotation mark...but clearly there is a problem here. I am so annoyed...I have to go back to the store now!!!!!!  This is one of those #firstworldproblems...I recognize this)

I digress...as usual...

Back to San Francisco and about this house.

So this house actually sold a few months back for $13 million...it was on the market for just a smidge over 4 months before it was snapped up. Yes, I said $13 million dollars.

The home is located in the Sea Cliff neighborhood of San Francisco -  right on the water.  Apparently, it was built in 1920, boasts 6,375 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 7.5 baths, a home theater, wine cellar and sauna.  The main attraction inside this home is actually on the outside...it is the spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge!

Well enough blabber and chitter chatter from me...take a look at the home featured in today's SEE THIS HOUSE!

A house of this magnitude must have a wood paneled home office library...and with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge! (above)

exterior view of a mansion in San Francisco with a patio and a backyard

I think my favorite room is the kitchen (I like the hood over the stove, the white paneled integrated appliances, and the island) and then any of the rooms with the views of the Golden Gate Bridge work for me.

Do you like this home? Would you move to San Francisco if someone offered this house to you? If you live in SF, is this your cup of tea? What might you keep or what might you change as far as decor? Please do tell.

Happy Tuesday!

P.S. Hope you had a nice long weekend. I had a really great weekend - tres low key and quite lovely.  Last week I finally got a cold after running around in July and August. I went to Atlanta, New York, Nantucket, and then back to New York all within a 4.5 week period. I ran myself a little ragged needless to say. Guess what though? I'm back. Full of energy and ready to go. Who knew that a little R&R and several repeat episodes of The Hills and Real Housewives can cure a person with a cold! Ahhh...my mind is like jelly after watching hours of reality television but I finally feel better and am operating at 100%. Do you think that 7 episodes of The Hills (they are 1/2 hour each I think...I hope) + 3 episodes of Real Housewives (I even watched a few of the episodes twice because they kept coming on) will wipe my mind clean of any smarts I once had. Oh I forgot to add in a Kardashian episode in there too. Okay...now I feel bad for my mom and dad, who paid for college and sent me to graduate school...it is all lost mom...my brain is no longer functioning as it once did; 7-8 hours or reality television over the course of a few days did me in. Conclusion: I want to be a Kardashian I think. :-) (Aside: T.V. networks should not be allowed to run marathons of any reality show...these marathons are unhealthy and could lead to the demise of American society and me!)

P.P.S. Finally got a computer on Sunday. A Dell. No Macbook Pro or Macbook Air for me. I was standing at Best Buy just about to purchase a Mac when I noticed a man lurking next to me and the nice sales guy. The lurking man overheard me saying "I am P.C. person" The lurker leaned in (he had the collar of his shirt popped up) and said, "You should do it. Get a Mac. I did it. I don't regret it either." There was a conspiratorial tone to his voice. The sales guy shook his head and said that he edited a lot of photos and he preferred a P.C. over a Mac any day. Since I was on the fence, I went back to my P.C. side of the yard...plus the lurker with his popped shirt collar kind of made me suspicious of all things Apple for a moment.

P.P.P.S. More on the boring computer story - Before heading to Best Buy, I had a guy come to my house on Friday...he came to fix my old computer...he took the whole thing apart and then realized he had the wrong replacement motherboard...and he also let me know that my old laptop was not in fact under warranty (it had a 2 year warranty and it has been 2 years and 3 months since I bought it). He immediately packed up his things and left. Check out COCOCOZY Twitter to see what the disassembled computer looked like...it was quite fascinating.

P.P.P.P.S. Still haven't downloaded photos from New York with all of this computer uncertainty. I will this week. I will!!!

P.P.P.P.P.S. Office Decor Update -  More furniture is arriving at COCOCOZY HQ today. So excited! The COCOCOZY office will receive 2 huge display shelves...they are 98" high each and painted a glossy white...and a cute white fretwork desk. After these big pieces arrive, I can finish off figuring out storage, lighting, and decorative touches. I'm thinking of painting the ceiling a glossy different color - I don't know what color but I saw a photo of a cute painted ceiling and I liked it. See COCOCOZY Pinterest and then check out my Beverly Hills Office board to see what I'm talking about as far as the painted ceiling.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S. Long post. I know. Lots of words. Don't worry. I will chit chat less for the rest of the week. Happy Tuesday and Happy September!

SEE THIS HOUSE: A $22 MILLION DOLLAR PENTHOUSE WITH WINDOWS GALORE!

living room with encasement window walls with an amazing view of NYC, gray sectional sofa, black ottoman and modern black chairs
A $22 million dollar view in NYC!  (above)
So if you are into architecture, you've heard of 100 11th Avenue in New York.  The high rise residential building was completed a few years ago.  It was designed by famed French architect Jean Nouvel.  The building design includes a veil of over 1600 window panes and from the outside makes an amazing design statement in the sea of buildings in NYC.  I haven't seen it in person but I think I'll pop over to The High Line next time I'm in the city, where apparently you can get incredible views of the building. I'll take a long gawk and gander and will definitely report back.

Well from the inside, apparently this building is pretty incredible too.  A modern masterpiece of sorts. With lots of windows and light and views to write home about. Recently apartment 23a...the penthouse...was up for sale and now according to the realtor's website the unit is "under contract".

The asking price for the penthouse is $22 million dollars for 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths in 4675 square feet of interior space plus a 4100 square foot deck that wraps around the apartment! Whoa.

This multi million dollar NYC flat is listed by Douglas Elliman.

Here's how their website describes the home:

"This spectacular penthouse will take your breath away. With 360 degree views of Manhattan and the Hudson River down to the Statue of Liberty, this is the jewel in the crown that is Jean Nouvel's iconic masterpiece. Unmatched in high concept and layout this home features 14ft ceilings, two fireplaces, floor to ceiling wrap-around windows, an enclosed loggia terrace, and a jaw dropping 4400 square foot terrace. This full floor penthouse is exquisite in every detail. With unparalleled design this 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home has sleek terrazzo floors and a one of a kind layout designed for entertaining!"

Here's a look at what $22 million looks like in New York!

What do you think of this multi million dollar listing? Love, like or dislike? Would you take it or leave it? How might you tweak with the decor?

I would take it. Would need to change ALL of the decor and warm it up a bit (the white Terrazzo floors make it a little cold)...but I'd make it work.

Happy Monday (again)!

Coco

P.S. Thanks to Brenna over at Refinery 29 for posting a list of my favorite things - all home furnishings and accessories in shades of blue. Check out my picks.  They were inspired by my sister's trip to Morocco that I wrote about a few weeks ago! (Thanks to good friend YO for sending over the link this morning when the list came out!)

P.P.S. Running late to work.  Had a few conference calls this morning to discuss some COCOCOZY business...they went well!

P.P.P.S.  Now that I am a million pounds heavier after wining and dining in Atlanta for 4 days...I have no clue what I will wear to the office.  Help.  I wonder if work people will notice the extra bloat and poundage? Must figure out a way to mask...black...middle of summer but I will wear black.  Is it inappropriate to wear a Jil Sander black sun dress to work...it has a very full skirt?  Hmmm...I'm going to do it and toss a sweater over my shoulders.  Note to self...do not eat carrot cake and drink margaritas on next jaunt out of Los Angeles.

P.P.P.P.S.  Hate to end a post on that note about being a million pounds heavier so I'll end it with I think I'm getting a cavity.  Feel tooth ache.  Is that possible?  Yikes...

P.P.P.P.P.S.  Okay...take 3.  Not a good way to end either...talking about cavities and all. Let's see uhm...have a nice day?. :-) LOL!
