Just got home from an evening at Barney's Beanery and the Palihouse (two establishments that are polar opposites of each other). Went out to watch the Houston Rockets lose to the Los Angeles Lakers (why I was compelled to go to this outing, I do not know...) at a well known but very very basic sports bar here in Los Angeles (I had draft beer and ate nachos...a far cry from my usual snooty event). We also watched Iowa beat Georgia Tech in some bowl game (don't know what kind of bowl this was but lots of nice Iowa natives explained the importance I think). And then to balance out the evening, we stopped by the chic Palihouse to have a drink after (normal civility consisted of a champagne drink and a baguette (the last piece of bread left because the kitchen had closed)).

Tired...but had to show off some cool round lights before dozing off. The crystal ball versions are appropriate for the beginning of a decade I think. I would love to see into the future and figure out what it holds for me and those around me. Since a magical crystal ball probably won't predict my future...I'll just go for the practical crystal balls for now...would love to just look at one of these lights dangling from the ceiling of my oh-so small Hollywood Hills cottage.
