HISTORIC IRISH COUNTRY HOMES!

Okay, so today, I'm bringing you images of some historic homes in Ireland! Really amazing images of houses belonging to Ireland's aristocracy from years past.

These photos come from a wonderful book called The Irish Country House by Desmond FitzGerald, Knight of Glin, and James Peill (published by Vendome Press). So the book is co-authored by an actual Knight (I wonder if he is single and cute...hee hee...) who actually owns the castle shown right above and below.

The intricate architectural details are astounding (why don't they make homes like this anymore?). This amazing old school architecture along with oodles of antique furnishings and family treasures give the impression that your being taken back in time on an incredible decor journey!

There is something very romantic and mysterious about these homes. I would love to spend a day exploring one!
