I love these three spaces. Nice comfy bench seating for play time or for a look at a good book- perfect way for a young boy or girl to relax and read. Kids need some stylish lounge time too!

Which of these little bench reading nooks do you prefer? I like the first one for some reason...it comes from designer Cynthia Rowley's home...a table with banquet style seating where the kids can read, draw and relax. Do you have one you like the best?

P.S. Was up until 2:30a this morning. We did a photo shoot last night at sis DS's house. It was me, operations manager KS (who loves the color pink) and fab photog Hugh Hamilton! Last minute shoot before we head to market next week. Needless to say...I am a tad tired...just a wee bit...got run to work!

P.P.S. Need stylish things to wear in NY next week. A couple of parties have just popped onto the calender.

P.P.P.S. I think I hear trash people...must run outside in my comical morning outfit of sweats, UGGs and a hoodie and a scarf and go pull out trash cans. This is when a husband would truly come in handy! Anyone have an extra hubby they want to lend?

BY HOOK OR BY NOOK!

Must love a good breakfast nook. Here's one. White, crisp, cheerful, sunny...a nice place to enjoy the first meal of the day. The built in banquette with a seat upholstered in leather from Holly Hunt, paired with the white Saarinen chairs from Knoll make for a comfy and cozy area to spend oh at least an hour drinking tea, reading the paper, doing a nice crossword (that's for my mom, she loves crosswords), plotting and planning out the day.

I would even lunch in this nook too!

P.S. Great dinner last night at Locanda Verde here in NYC with best of friends Anne and John! New York is so funny. We didn't sit down to dinner until 10p and the restaurant was jam packed. It was Tuesday night!  Also got a chance to see A.Ro and her new guy too when we stopped by Morandi in the West Village.  That place was hopping too late on a Tuesday night.  New York. New York!

P.P.S. Off to a work party (I know...a daytime work party?) for my day job. Am debating between a totally business work appropriate dress or one that is a little more questionable for the work environment but that I love...hmmm...what to do?  The questionable one is from Armani and is almost see-through and has the back out...I know...not appropriate for work but I LOVE it.  My dilemmas are such non dilemmas I recognize.  There are bigger things to fret about and more important issues to focus on for sure...but for today I'll circle around this little dilemma!  Just for a bit...and then I'll get a grip.  LOL!

A LAKE HOUSE KITCHEN!

Love this lake house eat-in kitchen designed by renowned New York architect Gil Schafer.

The kitchen is in a lake side home built in 1919. The home was clearly renovated respecting the history and charm but updated adding modern conveniences and stylish detailing.

I am a little obsessed with built in banquette seating so I'm loving the wrap around built in window bench that doubles as breakfast nook seating.  And the windows...hello!  The corner of  paned windows is magnificent...letting light and cheer stream into this sweet cooking and eating space.  I also am adoring the shiny painted wood floor (looks like a light blue or grey color).


The kitchen has a modern country feel with bead board cabinet doors, a stainless farmhouse sink and upper cabinet interiors getting a lovely dose of lime green color! (above)

What do you think of this lake house eat-in?  Would you want to eat in here?  What might you take...what might you leave?  Please tell.

P.S.  1) I need a lake house;  2) wearing a cute purple Tory Burch dress to work today...have drinks tonight; 3)  Now that Lent is over and I can go back to eating bread...need to show some restraint...difficult; 4) was up until 2:30a dealing with a potential Nbaynadamas client abroad; 5) caffeine essential this morning; 6) back to purple dress, was getting it fitted and the tailor kept looking at my hips and shaking his head...I think he thinks dress is too tight or that I need bigger...dress is size 4...I think it fits just right but we'll see...now I think everyone is looking at hips and shaking head thanks to tailor...lady tailor though thought dress was just right; 7) Juan, my handy guy, rescued my huge market umbrella from my roof on Tuesday...now I need new market umbrella as this one keeps flying out of stand, see Nbaynadamas Twitter feed for pictures of flying market umbrella under Dilemma of the Day; 8) I could go on and on but I will let you get back to your day!  Have a good one dear readers!
