Multi million dollar modern Hollywood Hills view house (above)

Got the chance to take a private tour of this super sleek modern hillside home this weekend.  3900 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, bleached oak hardwood floors throughout, two stories and magnificent views of Los Angeles, the hills and little bit of the ocean.  A modern dream.

Of course I couldn't stop snapping photos.  The super white walls, bleached light wood floors high ceilings and bright light put this in the dream house territory for me.  A little modern for my taste...but if given to me, I could certainly work with it.   I would redecorate certainly - change the furniture (I would keep the Barcelona chairs, Saarinen table, and Eames chairs though) and replace the art and COCOCOZY it up a bit with some rugs and geometric pillows etc..and then call it a day.  Hmmm....food for thought....

So today I bring you several photos I shot of this multi million dollar modern home...here is a private tour of this Hollywood Hills dream house...

There is a cute wood paneled den off the living room that I didn't get pictures of...very cozy.  Good place to watch t.v.  Oh I didn't take photos of the second floor bedrooms or baths at all.  The master bedroom is the size of a football field and has a beautiful tree top view to wake up to every morning.

$70 MILLION NEW YORK CITY APARTMENT AT THE PIERRE - SEE THIS HOUSE

$70 million dollars for one NYC apartment! Wow. According to United Nations statistics...there are at least 128 countries worldwide whose Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is $70 million or less. An apartment that it is valued to all of the goods and services produced by several world nations! That is New York city housing for you.

Today I bring you a striking $70 million dollar apartment located right on Fifth Avenue atop the lush Pierre Hotel in New York City. The two story apartment is listed by Serena Boardman of Sotheby's International Realty.  The 16 room apartment was recently renovated by super glam architect Peter Marino with custom design details, state-of-the-art lighting and tech systems.  The building amenities include a concierge, housekeeping and much more.  Must be nice to live on top of the Pierre Hotel.

What do you think? Would you pay $70 million for this if money were no object? Since money is an object in my life, I would not pay for it...but if someone wanted to gift me this gem, I would happily accept!

P.S. Went to the Griffith Park Observatory not once but twice this weekend with TE! After a run, brunch, and a drive around Silver Lake, we wandered up to the top of Griffith Park on Saturday to see the view and walk through the exhibits. We enjoyed it so much that on Sunday, after brunch at the Soho House, we brought TE's son and his friend up to the observatory too. A must see in Los Angeles. Learn about the moon, the stars, plus amazing Los Angeles views. Made my days!

AN apartment, multi million dollar home, New York City, SEE THIS HOUSE

$36 MILLION DOLLAR BEVERLY HILLS MODERN - SEE THIS HOUSE

A mansion perched on its own island above Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Quite awesome. Sleek...modern...super amazing views... the ultimate glass house.

An uber home for sale really...it is listed by Mauricio Umansky (Real Housewives t.v. show husband) of The Agency.

EE, TE's son, found this one online and showed it to me on Saturday. I was impressed with EE's cool modern aesthetic in homes at such a young age.  Meanwhile, I think TE and EE were most impressed with the garage of the home - a guy's car parking dream I suppose because even the garage has floor to ceiling windows and city views.  Check out the garage on COCOCOZY Pinterest (and remember to follow me there for extras)

6 bedrooms, 10 baths in a 11,200 square feet of home...all for $36 million.  Built by developer Richard Papalian, designer Michael Palumbo and architect Marc Whipple, the finest materials were used to construct this house.

Amazing views of all of Los Angeles...water, city and more.  The home sits on its own island...surrounded by a modern day moat of sorts.   A “white chocolate, dark chocolate” theme called for the use of Hera Limestone from the Sinai Peninsula, elegant Super Thassos floor tiles, beautiful Wenge wood, the finest German-made Schucco windows, custom-engineered Renlita doors.  The state-of-the-art kitchen features Italian lacquered cabinetry and integrated Miele appliances.  There is a guest house, putting green and pool too!  Sitting on almost an acre...this home is a little world unto itself.

$23 MILLION DOLLAR MALIBU OCEAN VIEW - SEE THIS HOUSE

Ocean views...never really thought of them much...but this weekend I drove with TE and his son EE down to Palos Verdes and we saw some spectacular Pacific Ocean views.  Breathtaking really.

So what is an ocean view worth...?

For 6 bedrooms, 8.5 baths in 7,624 square feet of ocean front home right in Malibu...does $23,750,000 sound about right?  This self proclaimed "European style villa" was built in 1998.  It is located on Point Dume and features panoramic ocean views on 1.29 acres of land.  The home is listed by Sotheby's.

A gourmet kitchen, imported French limestone in some of the rooms, hardwood floors in others, a gourmet kitchen, a master suite has its own private balcony and a pool.

This is probably what it looks like from this water front mansion today as it is classically wonderful weather in Southern California on this second day of the new year.

So would you take it or leave it? Take a tour...

Let's see...if I had $23.75 million to spare...or if someone wanted to gift it to me...I would take it!

P.P.P.S. Had a nice weekend with TE. Went to drinks at the Polo Lounge on Friday evening with TE (had a cold glass of champagne and enjoyed the holiday mood at the Beverly Hills Hotel), on Saturday saw a movie with TE and his son EE (we saw The Hobbit!...Had never seen any of these movies and it was quite good), and on Sunday TE and I drove around the beach areas with the top down on TE's convertible (yes, we were driving with the top down on a 75 degree day in December). A nice relaxing weekend.  Should have done at least some of my shopping.  I did none!!!! Yikes.  Help.  Need a personal shopper (or I just need to get to it like most people)!

$48 MILLION DOLLAR PARK VIEW PENTHOUSE - SEE THIS HOUSE

$48 million dollars for 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, and 5600 square feet in the center of New York City with spectacular Central Park views. Did I mention the 2500 square feet of outdoor space too!?! This penthouse is being sold by billionaire and one of Forbes richest people in the world Jon Stryker through realtor Brown Harris Stevens.  Stryker apparently bought the apartment awhile back for almost $13 million.  After some renovations and tweaks by renowned architects Shelton Mindel & Associates, Stryker has now put it on the market for $48 million.

I like this space.  The coffered ceilings, the detailed paneling, the large windows with spectacular city and park views.  I would need to make room in my budget to redecorate but if I had, I would consider spending my millions (dream millions) on this apartment!

THE MOST EXPENSIVE HOME IN AMERICA - SEE THIS HOUSE

A $190 million dollar home! Yes it is true.  Built in 1898, this 13,500 square foot mansion sits on 50 acres of land and boasts about one mile of shore front.  It is called Copper Beech Farm.  Located Greenwich, CT, a town known for its unbelievable mansions, the real estate listing says this home "has no peers".

Listed by Christies International Real Estate, this estate has 12 bedrooms, 7 full baths, 2 partial baths, a 12 foot ceilings in the main rooms, paneled library, pool and pool house, greenhouse, a beach, a carriage house, grass tennis court, a separate staff kitchen and spectacular water views.

The home was originally purchased by the Lauder Greenway family in 1904.  Harriet Lauder Greenway whose father helped Andrew Carnegie found U.S. Steel apparently sold it to timber tycoon John Rudey about 30 years ago.  Rudey now, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal a few months back, is selling the Victorian French Renaissance mansion because his children are all grown.
