A VACATION VILLA ON THE CROATIAN COAST!

living room minimalist decor croatian croatia home coastline coast villa interior exposed limestone walls white furniture home furnishings

Love this rustic limestone 15th century villa on the Croatian coastline.  Exposed stone walls, modern architectural upgrades and sleek contemporary furniture make for the perfect blend of old an new in this historic home.  And the views...did I mention the views?

The home is beautifully designed by architect Steve Harris and interior design firm Rees Roberts.  It is named Villa San Spirito.

Thinking about the summer and doing a little traveling....maybe to Italy.  I haven't taken a really proper vacation in years.  At this point these are thoughts only...no plans made at all.   Talking about the Amalfi Coast or Cinque Terre with TE.   These photos from Croatia are making me really long for a vacation somewhere in a far away locale with beautiful views and lots of culture and character.  We'll see...

Where would you want to vacation if you could pick any where in the world? Would you want to relax in a villa like this?

Happy Wednesday!

CAUGHT BETWEEN A ROCK AND PRETTY SPACE!

Den with a rock wall, white sofa, silver lamp, and a tree trunk coffee table

Stone walls...I like them...

Rustic charm works well in the these settings. When the rocks or stones are chosen correctly for tone and texture, feature walls like these can be a chic design element in a room (on the flip side, if chose poorly then it can make a room look like a bad 70s throw back). A rock wall. Something to consider.

Rustic breakfast nook with built in banquet seating with two wicker chairs, casement windows with roll up shades, a dark wood table, a stone wall and a pendant light

Living room with exposed beams, a round chandelier, a stone fireplace built into a rock wall, dark wood floor and a console table with two lamps with black bases

Loft bedroom with wood ceiling, exposed beams, a stone wall nook and simple furnishings

Which of these walls are you liking the best? I love the breakfast nook and the bedroom. Which one could you live with?

Happy Thursday!

P.S. Thank you to the nearly 1000 of you who watched/listened to my second Nbaynadamas DESIGN GUIDE audio/picture post! Will do another this weekend hopefully and make a lot shorter. If you haven't seen it and have time (12 minutes) to take a look and listen, the bathroom towards the end if worth seeing!

P.P.S. Revealing a bit of the new pillows from the Nbaynadamas collection tomorrow here on the blog! I can't wait to share with you! Stay tuned.

P.P.P.S. Remember if you are in New York this next week (Sun-Thurs), come to the New York International Gift Fair and meet me and see the collection in person. I'd love to see you all! Nbaynadamas is in booth #7849 at the Javits Center!

STONE WALLED!

Living room with exposed beams, a large fireplace, a stone wall, large encasement window, taupe sofa and matching bench

Hope you had a nice holiday weekend!

I like this living room. Rustic...modern...fresh. Exposed beams...a nice large stone fireplace...and a classic stone wall. Perfect for my dream house in the country! Right?

What do you think of this living room and the stone wall...take it or leave it?

Happy Monday nice readers!
