Okay. I am admitting it. I have nearly succumbed. I do not have the time to get sucked into a t.v. series but I think I might be getting hooked (might be...have not committed as I do a have a phobia of committing but I might be). I will also admit that the only other show on television that I have been totally "hooked" into in the past is The Bachelor (I make these admissions only because my full name is not associated with this blog yet...uh huh...I am aware that my credibility in the real world would be completely lost with this Bachelor admission and is probably totally lost in the blog world as well). While most of my friends are the "If I have to admit to watching t.v., I only watch the really hip and cool television shows like Mad Men, True Blood, Modern Family and the like"-types (these are also the friends who call movies "films" and who mention the New York Times or New Yorker at least four times in any given conversation), because I admit to watching The Bachelor it makes me the "I like reality shows especially the cheesy ones where they give out roses and have fantasy suites or ones that involve a guy named Ray J or women who are housewives"-type.

Anyhoooooooooooooooooo...this is all to say, now I have started watching 9 by Design on Bravo - the show chronicling the lives of New York City based house flippers extraordinaire Robert and Cortney Novogratz of Sixx Design and their 7 children (yes 7). I would think this show would appeal to my t.v. snob friends as well as those who admit to watching The Bachelor like me. The Novogratz couple takes on huge and expensive remodeling, building, interior design and decorating projects...usually homes they build to live in themselves and then sell for goooogobs of money.

Their publicist Megan was kind enough to send me photos (I say "kind enough" with a wink as I assume besides being kind sending photos is perhaps the publicist's job as well) of a country (or suburban) home that Rob and Cort (abbreviating their names as I am oh so familiar with them now that I have seen all of 1.5 episodes of their show) remodeled in Great Barrington, MA.

I like this house. It is bright light and cheery and filled with whimsical elements and fun design choices. Don't know if I could live here but I certainly would want to visit and hang out for a long while! I LOVE the white washed wood floors the most I think (again fear of committment hence the "I think").

I'll stop blabbering...now...for only an instant though...so you can take a look at this fun family friendly home!

For more casual dining, a large white oval dining table and colorful chairs provide ample seating right near the home's open kitchen. (above)

Before - The exterior of the house was well worn prior the remodel. (above)

Exterior of the house after Robert and Cortney Novogratz's remodel
After - The exterior of the house still feels rustic but gets a great polished face lift with the white paint and touches of yellow on the shutters. The peace sign on the left of the house is an attempt to give it a casual bohemian feel I assume (again). (above)

So, what do you think of this home?

Hope you have nice Monday.

P.S. Oh, one last thing, I also like the fact that Rob and Cort have a son named Wolfie too by the way (short for Wolfgang)...think I might name my first child Luddie, Sebbie or Johannie (for those who know classical music...these would be short for Ludwig (Beethoven), Sebastian or Johannes (for Bach)).

P.P.S. I lied...one more last thing...best of friend AM is obsessed with Cort...AM is amazed that Cort still looks good after having 7 kids. AM is juggling two children and I think any mom who sees this woman relatively calmly handling 7 children is in awe.
