Okay! Wow. $27 million. 27 million dollars!!! That's right.

Built back in 1903, this Neo Federal style classic home in the 70's on the upper east side boasts 10,000 square feet of interior space. Lots and lots of rooms and amenities too...a proper traditional house in the city with 11’ ceilings, 9 bedrooms, 9 baths, 3 powder rooms, a staff room, 8 fireplaces, 3 terraces, an elevator, an elegant garden, a graceful oval winding staircase, a Louis XV drawing room, Georgian library, 18th century fireplace mantels, and a 38’ kitchen with solarium. Whoa! What a list!!!!

Meanwhile, just for fun, let's juxtapose this NYC city mansion's list of features and highlights and descriptors with the list of amenities for my house. Here's my home's hypothetical list of features: a tiny house in the Hollywood Hills hills, with no proper backyard, a roof, someplace to sleep inside, a tiny kitchen, a deck, and a few rooms...the end. Needless to say, one of these homes is not like the other...right?

Anyhoooo...back to fantasy land...did I mention that this home is for sale? The price tag for this historic mansion is a mere $27 million. You have to love the real estate market in NYC!

I actually like the grandeur of this one. I would change the pink stairwell to another more neutral color (light grey or white) and would definitely change up the furnishings of course...but the house itself is quite spectacular.
