BIRTHDAY FAB!

Yesterday was my birthday...what a fantastic day it was.  The day started off with calls from my guy TE, a birthday song sung by my mother and sis DS, best of friend AM rang too.  I was charmed by all of the sweet notes and thoughts I got from my dear friends and family throughout the day (thank you Aunt S, RM, JD, FM, JLF, RK, A.Ro, SE, AT and more),  I normally do not make a big deal about my birthday...but there was something special about yesterday.

One of the assistants in the office guessed my age but he was several years off (making me younger)...hallelujah!  When I came back from lunch there were beautiful peach colored roses from my favorite florist waiting in my office...a sweet surprise from my sis and mother.  Then there was a delicious cupcake office party for me in my honor.

In the evening, my TE took me to dinner at Madeo...a Hollywood insiders spot where we sat two stone throws away from Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorcese!  Now that is a birthday dream!

Then, when we got home from our delicious dinner, TE brought a huge box up the stairs to my little tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills.  The box had a big huge red bow on it. Inside was this amazing limited edition book from Taschen called Fashion Designers A-Z Stella McCartney Edition. It is a 654 page beautiful hardcover book covered in a Stella McCartney fabric featuring the works of fashion designers from the 20th and 21st centuries.  An amazingly wonderful book.  It comes in with a lucite slip case.  The pictures are amazing inside.  Takes coffee table books up a notch.

A very nice day really.  A fabulous day. So nice because of all of the wonderful people I know.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday! I hope this holiday season brings you much joy, love and hope.

I thank you so much for following along throughout the year and being a part of COCOCOZY.  Your support has been such a gift to me!

Tonight, on Christmas Eve, I will be with family at my sis DS's house.  Almost 20 of us are gathering for a dinner and a nice celebration.  I am running around all day because I am actually cooking dinner!  Oh my!

My Christmas Eve dinner menu:
-Orange rosemary herb roasted chicken
-Haitian rice (a tradition from my mother)
-Green beans with shallots and garlic
-Cranberries
-Colorful green salad with avocado, corn, red and yellow peppers with a shallot lemon vinaigrette
-Apple pie from Sweet Lady Janes (normally I make pies but so many people this time...I am getting the help from one of my favorite bakeries...their deep dish apple pie is like something out of a fairytale...heaping with apples with a wonderful flaky tall bumpy top crust)

I will serve a champagne cranberry cocktail to start the evening off along with a light selection of cheeses.

We'll see how this all actually goes.  Everyone arrives at 7p.  I must get going!

HOLIDAY GIFT IDEA: LIMITED EDITION COCOCOZY LOGO LUCITE TRAYS!

This holiday season, we at COCOCOZY bring you a new limited edition gift item in the COCOCOZY Shop...our very own COCOCOZY Logo Lucite Tray! Am obsessed with it.  I designed this simple sleek modern decorative tray by deciding to use our logo repeat pattern and CM and JW at the COCOCOZY HQ made it happen.  Oh did I mention it is 100% made in the U.S.A.!

Was talking to best of friend AM who had ordered a large fabulous over-sized lucite tray for about $500 from some chic online company.  AM had a custom insert made for her lucite tray from said chic company and it was sealed in the bottom of the tray.  AM emailed me the other day, totally bummed out...she said her tray from the chic company was ruined because water had seeped into the cracks at the bottom and ruined the tray.

So the cool thing about the COCOCOZY limited edition tray is that the  COCOCOZY Logo insert on the bottom is removable so that allows you to take the insert out and wash the tray and/or exchange the insert out for an image you like!

Oh...I must give credit where credit is due.  Good friend SN was the one who months ago said that I should do lucite home accessories.  SN is also the one who also gave me the name of the lucite workroom where we now manufacture!  Thank you SN!  She is so sweet and thoughtful!

Perhaps a gift for the holidays for someone you know.  Or even a home accessory to dress up your house for holiday entertaining.
