Nicholas Graebert family home in Hamburg, Germany features a black and white zebra print pattern painted onto walls in the family room(above and below)
Nicky Graebert sent these photos into me - this is his family's first home in Hamburg, Germany - dashing, daring, bold, lively and all distinctively designed by his mother. Met Nicky on A Small World and he was kind enough to submit these photos for posting on this blog.
Nicky says that although his mother is not a professional interior designer, she has certainly decorated three homes as if she were trained in the fine art of interior decor. So far she has put her skilled design eye to work on the family's two houses in Hamburg, Germany and a studio loft in London.
As you can see, Nicky's mom has used color, patterns and dramatic lighting to create a vibrant home...a house that on the outside looks quite traditional (see below) but on the inside is the ultimate in ultra modern living!
Kitchen features bright red walls along with a black and white checkered tile floor. (above)
Love the use of color and pattern in this kitchen (above). Also, really like the sleek cabinetry and high-style stainless appliances.
Below, dramatic ceiling and wall lights work to make these living spaces glow.
Living room is illuminated with mood lighting and walls are painted in a striped pattern (above)
Dining room features a long wood table and painted striped walls in a blue and silver. (above)
Stay tuned for more of Nicky's mother's interiors...will post more in later house tours.
