You won't believe it but I still have photos left over from my visit to Greystone way back when...frankly I don't even remember when I went on that tour...it seems so long ago. If you need a definition of the phrase "milking something for what it's worth"...well here it is...
This is my seventh post from my afternoon visit to Veranda Magazine's "Great House at Historic Greystone Estate" showcase mansion tour last month. Seventh post! Either I am the most creative person in the world who can come up with all of this rich material from a two hour tour of a house...or, conversely, I am the most uncreative person in the world who has to come up with a million posts from one simple house tour because she has nothing else to talk about. Hmmmm.... Just in case, I think I will leave this as an unanswered rhetorical musing as opposed to a question for readers.... (yes...I am worried what you all might respond...hee hee).
In my creative mode, I have been trying to arrange these photos thematically...
So in a very "creative" way (said out loud while making quotes with fingers and with jaw clenched in a very snooty fashion and said with a faux affected accent)...I have ingeniously artistically brilliantly cleverly grouped this bunch of Greystone pictures as "first impression" photos - those from the outside of the house and on the first floor...tah dah. Okay...no comments please...I know...that's the best I could do...not so innovative but something nonetheless? (I also must admit that I am so creative that I actually resorted to the thesaurus to find synonyms for the word "creative"...a real smart "creative" person...huh...? You are in good hands.)
If you should chose to read further as I continue my seventh post on the Greystone Mansion house tour under the guise of "creativity"...here are a few more extremely gorge (short for gorgeous...an abbreviation that is simply another attempt at being "creative") photos from the estate and the pretty wonderful interior designer showcase.

Two Los Angeles based interior designers David Phoenix and Rose Tarlow of Melrose House joined forces and lent their talents to decorating the Greystone estate's library with elegant and inviting furnishings and accessories. (above)
The wood panelled Drawing Room was brouht to life by Los Angeles interior designer Richard Shapiro...with many of the modern furnishings coming from his Studiolo collection. (above)
Studiolo's solid brass Garland Chandelier illuminates the Drawing Room at the Greystone Mansion showcase house. This chandelier is one of my favorites...I have torn out the advertisement in Elle Decor featuring this ceiling light a million times. (above)
The sparkling Salon D'Art was designed by Katie Leede-McGloin and features shimmering accessories and mirrors lining the walls just below the crown molding...all the shimmer helping to create a highly stylized and glowing small room. (above and below)
So that's it for my seventh Greystone post!
P.S. Did I mention I will have two or three more posts on Greystone? Will try to use up rest of photos before the 1st...but no promises. Remember this is "creative".
