Curious to know what you think of this look? Marble slabs used instead of tiles as a kitchen backsplash.
Most would say tile a backsplash...but what about this...marble from countertop to ceiling...a slab of marble?
Here are some examples of this look at work. Kind of cool the way the veins in the marble create interesting uninterrupted patterns. Acts as a nice back drop behind a stove and hood or above the kitchen sink.
What do you think?
Large veins in the marble slab over the sink and cooktop in this modern kitchen almost look like contemporary art! (above) |
Silver kitchen - grey cabinets, Carara marble countertops and the marble slab backsplash make for a kitchen that shimmers. (above) |
Black cabinets with white trim work nicely with the grey marble slab over the Wolf stove in this traditional meets modern kitchen. (above) |
The marble backsplash behind this marble farmhouse country sink goes all the way to the ceiling creating a seamless look. (above) |
Which of these marble backsplashes do you like best? Do you like this look? Or would you stick to a traditional tile backsplash for your space.
I'm kind of liking...would use in my third home...if I had a third home. :-)
Happy Monday!
