Just a week ago, my good friend Alyssa in London sent me a link to a blog called The Selby. Here's what Alyssa wrote in an email to me dated 9/17/08:
Todd takes photos of interesting people's homes in Los Angeles, New York and now it seems he's looking in London. Most of the people featured on his website work in the field of design and art in some way...i.e. artists, designers (fashion and interior), musicians, actors, directors and a few bon vivants I imagine!
The cool thing about this decor blog is that it shows people living and interacting with their homes...and shows how their homes reflect their personalities.
Also, this summer the Selby has been getting a ton of buzz...just saw that MadebyGirl's Jennifer Ramos just did a post on The Selby too...great minds!

The Silverlake, California apartment of an artist/musician and boutique manager features green, blue and teal painted walls, high gloss marble tile looking floors, a spiral staircase and many crystal chandeliers...all making the space delightfully playful. (below)

The apartment of a NYC director and dj features an exposed brick wall and the phrase "Love You" written on the floor (below)

A stack of leather suitcases and a blue glass chandelier (with missing lights) provide storage and color in the apartment of a NYC family who Todd calls "designers of obedient sons & daughters" (below)

"...did you go to the blog i sent you call theselby.com ... you will really like it - a totally different take on showing people's homes/flats/apts ... it is artist/designer centric but really cool...""Really cool" is an understatement.
