I like this design idea to dress up an otherwise boring white wall...take some fabric or wallpaper you love and frame it. The idea is not new but it is executed oh so well by Vanessa De Vargas, owner of Los Angeles based Turquoise Interior Design. She's put a lovely light blue print with birds and foliage into a white frame and made it into art of sorts. Makes this little workspace so bright and cheerful. A way to bring in your favorite pattern or textile without covering an entire wall. Great for the wall color commitment phobes like me.
What do you think of this tried and true design trick? What surface pattern would you want to try to frame to make an artistic impression on your walls?
Happy Wednesday!
