Okay...I really adore this home...the use of mid century modern furniture combined with modern pieces and more traditional architecture all come together to make a harmonious space...or put simply...it looks good.

The decorating theme in this home seems to rely on good art and the use of uber iconic mid century modern furniture in almost every room.

What makes an iconic piece of furniture?  Hmmm...let's see...I think the reason a piece of furniture becomes a classic is that you never get tired of seeing it in different settings and applications.  A piece of furniture that has a timelessness about it.  Here, the design is all about incorporating mid century modern basic pieces into the space and letting their iconic silhouettes speak for themselves. Res ipsa loquitur - a Latin term used in law (and even thought I went to law school I barely remember what it means...something about duty and breach of duty in negligence cases or something...duh...was once smart...not smart any more...too much Kardashians and not enough reading...oy va voy)...anyhoo the literal translation of Res ipsa loquitur is "the thing stands for itself".  In this case each of these pieces of furniture stands for itself.

Do you like mid century pieces?  Could you see any of this furniture in your home?  What classic piece of furniture regardless of era have you always coveted?

Happy Wednesday!

P.S.  So excited...just found out that Nbaynadamas textiles will be in a store in Beverly Hills one block from Rodeo drive right in the heart of the posh shopping area.  My fab sales rep for this area just let me know that we have an order.  We ship on Friday!  Woot woot.  Nbaynadamas Collection retailers list is growing...and the list includes quite a few very posh shops...totally thrilled.

P.P.S.  I can only be thrilled for a moment because there is soooooo much work to do.  The Nbaynadamas collection proverbial rock is only 1/100th of the way up the hill...so I've got a lot of pushing to do...!

P.P.P.S.  I've used the word "posh" 6 or 7 times in this post.  Will stop.

P.P.P.P.S.  Fab dinner last night at chic interior designer Alison Blumenfeld's wonderful Hollywood Hills home. Not only has Alison got impeccable taste...she also entertains so effortlessly.  What a lovely meal and conversation.  Alison will be doing more guest posts for Nbaynadamas so we did a little training on blog posts too.  Am so excited!
