WEEKEND PHOTO: VINTAGE MERCURY GLASS SHADES - TAKE THEM OR LEAVE THEM?!

4 mercury glass light shades at the Rose Bowl flea market in Pasadena

Was at the famous Rose Bowl flea market in Pasadena last weekend...when I happened upon these vintage mercury glass light shades.

I was mesmerized...loved the texture, the glimmer, the silhouette...everything. They would make wonderful pendant lights over a great kitchen island (needed to be rewired), they could be screwed into a lamp base socket and add some glimmer to a living room or dining room. I thought there could be endless possibilities for these shiny wonderful mercury glass shades.

Oh...one problem the guy would not go below $500 for the four.

I didn't take them...

Still thinking about them.

If you had happened upon these beauties, would you take or leave?

I'm curious. What would you have done? I want to know!

I'm running off to another busy Sunday...have been up since 6:00a running around town if you can believe it! I've already been to Long Beach this morning! Hope you have a nice restful day...please take a nap for me!

Happy Sunday!
