SHOWING NEW COCOCOZY COLLECTIONS - I'M OFF TO HIGH POINT MARKET!

COCOCOZY Capel Rugs advertisement public appearance home furniture market High Point NC North Carolina furnishings rugs floor covering carpet
This is the print ad Capel rugs took out in industry trade magazines announcing me and COCOCOZY rugs coming to High Point market. (above)

So excited...am off to High Point, NC for the furniture market this weekend. My new home furnishings collections will be on display! I have never been! I am so so excited!

For those of you who are like me and are learning about a lot of this industry for the first time...High Point Market occurs twice a year and it is the biggest home furniture market in the country.  This is where interior designers, stores, buyers and press go to shop for and see everything and anything that is new for the home.  All the biggest names in furniture, textiles and accessories all show at High Point.

I'll be making two public appearances.  Woohooo.   I am being flown in first class, being shuttled by private car from hither and thither, have dinners planned and will be hob knobbing with everyone in the design industry.  So surreal for me that this all started from this blog!

(An aside note: Am exhausted from my move yesterday...so have lots to do to make myself ready...but am so excited to present these collections and to meet so many of you...will pull myself together...I promise)

My first appearance will be to present the COCOCOZY Linens by Downtown bedding collection (see bedding image below).  We'll show three beds in different colors and we'll also introduce the market to our reversible Convertible duvet concept (that is patent pending)!

Then there is COCOCOZY for Capel Rugs - the second appearance will be on Monday evening at the Capel showroom in High Point where all 24 rugs will be on display for the first time.  These are luxury hand knotted indo tibetan wool rugs.  I am getting one for my cute den.

P.S.  Home again - home again: I moved back in to my little tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills yesterday.  As you may recall, exactly 4 months ago I moved out in a rush after major water damage and leaking was found.  4 months later, thousands of dollars later, lots of walls taken down and pavement uprooted...I am moved back in!  At one point yesterday, I had a neighbor yelling at me because the moving truck was blocking the street, my nice contractor asking me questions, the cleaning service owner who stopped by to check up on the job his staff had done and several moving guys all directing questions (and in the case of the neighbor yelling at me) at the same time.  Needless to say...I took a deep breath, had to chuckle as I realized life is filled with these hectic moments, and then tried to deal with all as gracefully as I could. It worked.  I am in the house.  Still have some things at sis DS's.  Need to figure out a huge gift for her after she welcomed me into her home for 4 months.  Thinking.

P.P.S. Hope you have a great weekend.  I'll post from North Carolina!

P.P.P.S.  Oh I had promised to preview more COCOCOZY rugs...let's see...here's one...

P.P.P.P.S.  Am stunned by all that is going on in Boston.  Still so sorry for all of those affected by the bombing.  My thoughts are with them.

Look 1 - COCOCOZY reversible bedding in navy. Loop pattern on top (above)

COCOCOZY Linens for Downtown are here.  My new collection of reversible bedding is going to market next week!

So I mentioned I would be in High Point, NC next weekend for the furniture market.  I am actually going there to debut two new full collections!

I've talked about the COCOCOZY for Capel Rugs collection quite a bit...I showed 5 rugs in New York in January but this time around in North Carolina we are showing the full collection of 24 rugs...woohoooo!

I haven't spoken much about my new bedding collection but today that is changing!  Am so thrilled today to finally have some images of the bedding to show you!  The very nice DM over at Downtown is having all of the bedding shot today and she just sent me these photos!

COCOCOZY Linens are 100% imported cotton, super soft 400 thread count ...the line features booth printed and embroidered pieces on three different color stories (navy, taupe, gray).

Here's the cool part...you can totally mix and match your duvet cover sides...the fronts and back duvet sides are sold separately allowing you to customize your bedroom look.  We even have a U.S. Patent Pending on this Convertible Bedding!

The navy collection also includes a COCOCOZY Plaid duvet side that you can buy to mix and match your look.

To play along with all of the different patterns and duvet cover side options...build your own bed...check out Downtown's site.

All bedding will be available at the COCOCOZY shop site later in May.  If you have questions, you always email sales@Nbaynadamas.com.

Happy Friday!

SHOP WATCH: HOME SWEET HOME - THE SPARKLE IN ATLANTA AT CMA!

All photos in this post by Coco of Nbaynadamas
Round glass table with metal legs on a mosaic floor with a crystal table setting and a large white hydrangea plant in a glass vase

Disclaimer...am writing this post on 3 hours of sleep...you may just want to look at the pictures.

Okay...a couple things to start off. It is 7:45am EST. Am actually on the plane (a Delta flight...in coach...grrrr...) from Atlanta to Los Angeles writing this post...hoping my computer doesn't run out of battery. The guy next to me is snoring and I've been up since 4am Atlanta time trying to get a flight out. Anyhooo...am on the plane now and headed home from the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market where I was showing the Nbaynadamas textiles collection once again to buyers, designers and the like...I left so I could get home to Los Angeles to begin set up for a big Nbaynadamas photo shoot we are doing tomorrow night (after I work all day at my day job) at my sis DS's house (I've kicked her out and warned her that her house will be a war zone for several hours...she just said "okay"...gotta love a big sister...if you don't have one...go get one...I'm talking about a big sister...fyi...).

Wait...I started off saying a couple of things...I've already forgotten what the couple things are or were or are. Oh it is Martin Luther King Day...happy to have the day off and happy to take some time to think about all of the wonderful things Dr. King did for this country. He was an amazing man. Happy MLK day! Was that one of the couple things?

Oh the other couple of things...I was going to stay in Atlanta all day today because I didn't have time yesterday or the day before or the day before to run over to the tchotchke ridden "cash and carry" section of the trade show to get this sparkling cheap necklace key chain I love for $6. I decided I would have to do without the key chain necklace so I could make it home this morning to get everything done that I need to get done. I know...none of this is making sense...I am deliriously tired (had margaritas last night with all of the showroom sales reps...had a blast talking to my new friend Mary Claire from Mississippi and laughing with Nicole W.).

Computer battery is on the verge of running out...what is the point of these computer batteries anyway? Why do they run out so quickly. Arrrrghhhhhh. Have 39 minutes to finish this post according to the battery meter...but I know that means I have just 10 minutes. Yikes.

Back to a couple of things...let's see...hmmmmm...mind wandering now...watching people sleep in funny ways on the plane...one big burly guy across the aisle from me is almost curled up into a ball. I need sleep.

This is ridiculous...I apologize. You can officially delete Nbaynadamas from your reading list after this post. Let me snap out of it. Wake up. Okay. Focus...I've got it.

So, I've had the most fantastic time over the last few days hanging out at the Christian Mosso Associates Showroom (CMA) in Atlanta where I have a small selection of the Nbaynadamas textiles collection on display. Showroom owners Christian and Laura Mosso and showroom manager Nicole Wicking make CMA feel like a home away from home. I know going to market can be tiring but CMA is just such a warm and wonderful showroom amidst all of the other very serious other showrooms. Everyone and I mean everyone at CMA is bubbly and happy.  The environment is filled with all of the wonderful textiles, furniture and gift collections.  Everything is so pleasant to look at.  At CMA, they serve lunch (super yummy comfort food), lots of snacks and every day at about 2:30p that start serving wine to customers, showroom vendors, sales reps or anyone who stops by.  A great place to hang out and most definitely a great place to spend part of the day shopping I think.

I love CMA.  I am so thrilled that they picked up the Nbaynadamas collection...it is my home away from home in Atlanta. :-)

Here's a little abbreviated tour of the showroom and a glimpse of some of the collections.

My tiny little Nbaynadamas corner is jam packed with a small selection of all Nbaynadamas pillows, throws, drapery and more. They added a daybed into my nook this show. This is where I stand during the show and greet store buyers, designers and even some fantastic Nbaynadamas readers! (above)

Corsican, a metal works furniture company, makes all of the beds featured on the CMA showroom floor.  I like this canopy bed.  My friend JK is looking for something like this.  JK if you are reading this Corsican has the bed you are looking for. (above)

So which of these vignettes do you like the most?  I of course love my little Nbaynadamas area...but I also love all things Pom Pom interiors as well!

The showroom carries so many other textile lines including Serena & Lily, Designer's Guild, Fino Lino, Pillow Talk, A Soft Idea and so much more.  Also,  they carry fantastic furniture collections, dinnerware, lighting (great chandeliers) and in their gift section which is on a different floor they carry my design crush Jonathan Adler's candles.  For buying purposes, the showroom is for store buyers and designers (to the trade) but if you ever get a chance to go into America's Mart...you should stop by...tell them Coco sent you!

UPDATE:  With less than an hour left to go in the flight, my computer battery did indeed die.  So now, hours later, still no sleep, I am home...hence the late post.  I have gained my wits about me though.  Read what I wrote earlier and see how incoherent it really is...am leaving it as is...a cautionary tale of sorts...don't write and fly tired!

Happy Monday!

P.P.S.  Home for a bit here in my little cottage in the Hollywood Hills...then I head off to New York at the end of the month for the big gigantic New York International Gift Fair...we're building a bigger booth than we had last year...last year's Nbaynadamas booth worked but this one is just a tad bigger.  Come see me there if you are attending that show.

P.P.P.S. I hope Nbaynadamas reader Ruth reads this post.  She always emails me about my typos and I so appreciate it.  My mother emails me too about the typos.  Go ahead mom, please let me know how many this time.  At one point, I had so many typos in my posts my mother said she gave up.  Please please mom, I need you.  This post was written while I was exhausted.  I welcome all of the input...typos, grammar, syntax...anything!

MAKE YOUR BED - DREAMY LUXE LINENS!

All photos in this post by Coco of Nbaynadamas

Before you go any further...I recognize the last two posts have had the word "dream" in the title.  I am not losing my creative gene nor am I at a loss for words (all who know me can attest to the latter)...I just think the word "dream" has summed up a lot of what I have been experiencing over the last few days.  Wasn't there a song...."dream dream dream....blah blah blah blah blah blah all I want to do is dream"?  Is that right?  I don't know but I think if a song can repeat the word dream a million times in one verse...I can have two posts in a row that say "dream"!  Right? Wrong? Pointless?  I know.  Bear with me.  It is Monday.

So, have spent the last few days surrounded by luxurious linens at the Christian Mosso & Associates showroom in Atlanta. I am thrilled that the Nbaynadamas collection is also in this prestigious showroom amongst a group of amazing textile manufacturers...many of the biggest names in bed linens (all creators of  some of the finest sheets, duvet covers, blankets, pillows, shams and more).

The Christian Mosso & Associates showroom is huge...I think it is 20,000 square feet. Each line of textiles has its own section and its own look...but all work well together. Husband and wife team Christian and Laura Mosso hand picked all of the collections they represent...a "club" of sorts of the best of the best in linens.

I've so enjoyed showing my collection for the first time in Atlanta in this showroom.  I have also enjoyed wandering back and forth through the showroom seeing all of the collections...dreaming...coveting...admiring. So many different looks. So many ideas.

The coolest thing about the Christian Mosso & Associates showroom is that there are dozens of bed vignettes to see...all of the different bedding is shown on Corsican metal beds.  I had some fun throwing my Nbaynadamas shams and boudoir pillows on one of the vignettes from Downtown Company.  Was so great to see my bedding "in scene" so to speak.  In January, in addition to my pillow and throw display (see previous post) I hope to have my own Nbaynadamas bed to show as well in Atlanta!

Since I've had so much fun perusing bed heaven in the CMA Showroom...I thought I would let you take a peek and pick your favorite bedroom style. If you could chose, how would you make your bed?

P.S.  Have met so many wonderful Nbaynadamas readers in Atlanta...a number of talented women who are in design and who stopped by to say hi.  It has been such a thrill.  Had so much fun talking to Kathryn from Georgia and Denise from Dallas yesterday...among so many others!   I'll be back in the showroom this morning, then dashing around the gargantuan Atlanta America's Mart snapping photos and shopping and then on the hunt in the cash and carry section for a cheap sparkling key chain (will explain later).   Then best of friend JH is driving in from Columbia, SC to have dinner with me tonight.  So excited!  Please stop by the showroom this morning if you are in Atlanta.  I should be there for a few hours.

P.P.S.  To see what others have chosen as their bedding favorites...click on comments below...also go to Nbaynadamas Facebook to see what followers there have chosen too!  So much fun to see which are your favorites in bedding!

P.P.P.S.  Had a lovely dinner with Peter and Jane last night.  A very talented and successful brother sister duo who I work with on a project of mine.  What amazing dinner conversation and such a nice night.  Thank you for dinner Peter!
